If you don't see any video or you receive an error message that your camera or microphone can't be accessed, you may need to change the privacy settings on your computer or phone.
The steps in this article include screenshots from Android, however they also apply for iOS, MacOS and Windows (some settings might be named differently).
By default your web browser requires you to grant permission the first time a website tries to access your camera or microphone (common browsers are Safari, Chrome, Firefox, or simply "Internet" or "Samsung Internet"). If you accidentally reject permission for the interview website, your browser may not ask again, and you won't be able to record your interview. In some cases your browser settings might also block access by default.
On-Page Camera Permissions
Depending on your browser, you can update your camera and microphone permission directly from the location bar. Look for a an icon of a camera or microphone (possibly with a line through it), or a settings icon such as this one in Chrome:
If necessary, continue to the "Permissions" or "Privacy" menu (depending on your browser):
From here you can allow the website to use your camera and microphone.
Browser Settings
Depending on your browser, you can access a list of websites and their corresponding permissions. Start by selecting the menu icon (shown here in Firefox):

Look for "Site permissions" in a "Privacy" or "Security" section:
Depending on your browser, you are able to change the default camera and microphone behaviour, e.g. to "Ask for permission" rather than "Block". You can also access a list of websites you have visited where camera or microphone access was requested (this might be listed as "Exceptions" in some browsers). You can use this list to reset or override permission for the interview-suite.com website.
System Settings (Windows/MacOS/Android/iPhone)
The above instructions assume your web browser is deciding which websites can use the camera or microphone. In some cases your computer or phone will block the browser's own access to the camera or microphone. You can check this by accessing the Settings app and looking for the Apps or Privacy settings screen. Here you can locate your browser and check that it has permission to use the camera and microphone:
School or Work Device
If your phone is managed by your employer or someone other than you, you might not be able to change the above settings. Please contact your device administrator for further assistance or use a private device.
