The live video interview is an opportunity for you to engage in a deeper exchange with recruiters and/or your future supervisor. This way you can learn more about the company and the position and get a better picture of what awaits you. Of course, you will also be asked questions - like at a job interview on site. The difference is that you are flexible as to where you want to conduct the interview.
Prepare yourself for the live video interview just as you would for an on-site interview.
All you need is a device with camera and microphone and a good internet connection.
Joining the live video interview
Once you follow the link to the interview session from your invitation email, your camera and microphone will be checked. After allowing access to your camera and microphone, you can request to join the session. The interviewers need to grant you access, in order for you to join. If your request is not answered, it is possible that the interviewers are not yet in the interview session. If this is the case, just try again in a few minutes.
During the live video interview
Once you are in the interview session, you will have several buttons available to you in the top of the screen.
-With the button you can turn on or off your video stream. If you have turned off your video stream, other people in the interview cannot see you.
-With the button you can mute your own microphone.
-With the button you can leave the interview
-With the you can turn off the sound coming in through the interview.
Selecting a video stream
The video stream of one user is always displayed large, while the other people in the interview are shown small on the right side of the screen. Underneath the video stream your interviewer’s name is displayed. To put someone else on the large screen, simply click on that user’s small video window.
